ABOUT DAVID HESKETH
After graduating from McMaster University’s Neuropharmacology Lab, I pivoted from medicine to teaching, motivated by a lack of child-centered methods in traditional education. I completed the Waldorf Teacher Training Program in Toronto and began my teaching career in Johannesburg, South Africa, coinciding with Nelson Mandela’s release. Following the transition to democracy, I returned to Canada as Principal of the Vancouver Waldorf School. After 9 years, I returned to Johannesburg and shifted focus to my own business, BrainFocus Centre, teaching health and wellness methods. Recognizing the critical role of stress in health, I researched brain-mind functions and developed The Brain Development Parenting Framework, offering purpose-driven strategies for holistic child development to parents
